In line with Polygon, an ex-staffer at Krafton is suing Krafton after being wrongfully terminated for reporting an alleged sexual assault.
Within the swimsuit (filed in December 2023), the plaintiff claims she was assaulted by then-global marking VP Kevin Kimball. The alleged incident came about at a piece get together after the 2022 Sport Awards.
There, Kimball made alleged advances at her whereas making an attempt to get her extra alcohol. The swimsuit then claims he pressured himself on her in a rest room stall till she escaped, crying.
The get together was for Placing Distance Studios, which launched its debut sport The Callisto Protocol every week prior. Kimball was Krafton’s world advertising and marketing VP till early 2023 (weeks after mentioned incident), then its technique/enterprise head till September that 12 months.
After reporting the incident to Krafton administration, the plaintiff claims she was ignored, and finally fired in February 2023. Previous to that, they “failed to analyze” and “[let] exist a hostile, oppressive, harmful and violent work surroundings.”
And as an alternative of “defending Plaintiff (and all females) from such intercourse harassment,” the swimsuit says “nothing was executed to handle Kimball’s intercourse assault.”
Along with wrongful termination, the plaintiff is suing Kimball for emotional misery. She claims he created a hostile work surroundings to retaliated in opposition to her grievance to Krafton management.
