MODERN WARFARE III PRESEASON PATCH NOTES – NOVEMBER 21, 2023

Welcome to the Preseason of Modern Warfare III! Below are the patch notes for the latest update, addressing various aspects of the game for improved stability, performance, and an enhanced gaming experience.


GLOBAL

STABILITY & PERFORMANCE

  • Resolved a crash issue occurring during the viewing of Weapon Challenges.

UIX

  • Closed an exploit allowing players to equip unreleased Weapon Camos.
  • Fixed an issue preventing players from equipping the Borealis Weapon Camo once unlocked.




COSMETICS

  • Dragonfly Blueprint for the M4 (MWII) now displays correctly on all platforms.
  • Fixed Io Operator (MWII) appearance not dynamically changing as expected.
  • Adjusted the Ghoulie Camo (MWII) to avoid excessive brightness in dark environments.

MULTIPLAYER

UIX

  • Armory Unlocks will now progress with wins without completing Daily Challenges.
  • UI modifications to reflect the aforementioned change have been included in today’s update.




Bug Fixes

  • Graphical corruption during transitions between Field Upgrades and Social menus has been resolved.
  • XP requirements in the Progression menu will no longer display negative values under certain conditions.
  • Incompatible attachments can no longer be equipped to a Weapon.

PROGRESSION

Challenges

  • Updated the Gilded Camo challenge description for the MTZ-556 (Assault Rifle) to accurately reflect requirements.
  • Weekly Challenges for Triple and Quad Kills will now track completion properly.

  • Adjusted environmental fog for increased contrast, enhancing visibility.




Estate

  • Reduced grime on Lodge windows to improve clarity.

WEAPONS

Holger 556 (Assault Rifle)

  • Adjusted damage multipliers for headshots, neck, upper-torso, arm, and hand.
  • Increased sprint to fire time.

DG-58 (Assault Rifle)

  • Decreased maximum and medium damage.
  • Adjusted neck damage multiplier and burst delay.

FR 5.56 (Assault Rifle)

  • Decreased maximum, near-medium, and minimum damage.
  • Adjusted headshot damage multiplier, leg, and foot damage multipliers.
  • Increased aim down sights and sprint to fire time.

Striker (Submachine Gun)

  • Increased maximum damage range, near-medium, and far-medium damage.
  • Decreased aim down sights time.

AMR9 (Submachine Gun)

  • Adjusted damage multipliers for lower-torso, lower-arm, and hand.
  • Decreased sprint to fire time.

Striker 9 (Submachine Gun)

  • Decreased maximum damage.
  • Decreased aim down sights time.



PERKS

Ordnance Gloves

  • Removed undocumented reduction to Frag Grenade cook duration.

ZOMBIES

GAMEPLAY

Missions

  • Adjusted Warlord kill credit to be squad-based.
  • Required mission items now spawn when a squad member kills the target for “Storm the Castle.”
  • “Interceptor” mission accurately tracks completion when picking up a Keycard.

Perk-A-Colas

  • Tombstone Soda adjustments prevent tombstones from appearing in the next session if a player exfils in last stand.

General

  • Essence can no longer be stowed.
  • Various fixes for item interactions and exploits.

ENEMIES

Zombies

  • Adjusted zombie spawn priority to favor increased ground spawning.
  • Mercenary damage against Player Armor reduced.
  • Shielded Soldiers have a slower fire rate when engaged.

WEAPONS

Pack-A-Punch

  • Fixed an interaction and UI issue showing Pack-A-Punch Level III as Level IV.

STABILITY

  • Various stability fixes have been implemented for an overall smoother gaming experience.
