Players have the opportunity to acquire a random amount of paper, ranging from 30 to 40, every three minutes while engaging in skilling or combat activities. Additionally, utilizing Treasure Hunter keys grants an extra 100 paper as a bonus reward.

Certain activities, such as using elite training dummies, crafting runes on specific altars, participating in Dominion Tower battles, training in the Thieves’ Guild, contributing logs to a portable brazier, and engaging in Daemonheim training, do not yield wrapping paper. If a player would have received wrapping paper in an ineligible area, they must wait an additional three minutes before the next opportunity, even if they leave the area.

Christmas Events

2021

In the 2021 Christmas event, players could obtain a random amount of paper, ranging from 15 to 25, every three minutes through skilling or monster-killing. Using Treasure Hunter keys granted a bonus of 40 paper. From December 25, 2021, to January 3, 2022, the paper obtained from skilling and killing monsters was tripled.

Wrapping paper could be exchanged with Postie Pete at the Grand Exchange for a random assortment of white, blue, purple, and gold Christmas presents. The more common presents were listed first, and players received one present for every 200 paper handed in.

2022

In the 2022 Christmas event, the random amount of paper obtained was increased to 30-40, and the Treasure Hunter bonus was raised to 100. The paper from skilling and killing monsters was tripled from December 25, 2022. This festive paper could be used to teleport to Postie Pete in the north-eastern corner of the Grand Exchange in Varrock and stored in the currency pouch.

During 2022, handing wrapping paper to Postie Pete at the Grand Exchange resulted in receiving a different random assortment of blue, white, purple, and gold Christmas presents. The more common presents were mentioned first, and these presents contained a distinct set of prizes compared to the previous year.

2023

In the 2023 Christmas event, players could obtain 30–40 Christmas wrapping paper every three minutes through skilling or monster-killing. Non-Ironman Mode players had the option to double the obtained paper by purchasing Double Wrapping Paper.

Christmas wrapping paper could also be acquired through various methods from Treasure Hunter, starting on November 28, 2023. In addition to the 100 paper rewarded for each key used, bundles of 1,000 Christmas wrapping paper could be obtained from the Present Prize Meter. Different promotions offered additional means of obtaining Christmas wrapping paper, such as Loot Rooms’ snowy chests.

The obtained paper could be handed to Noel in Christmas Village to receive a random assortment of white, blue, purple, and gold Santa’s Christmas Presents. The more common presents were mentioned first, and players received one present for every 200 paper handed in. The “Teleport” option led to Christmas Village.
