The Christmas Village

The Christmas Village serves as a newly established seasonal hub for the Runescape 3 christmas event situated within the enchanting Land of Snow. It can be accessed through a portal in the Burthorpe event area or conveniently added as a seasonal destination on the Lodestone Network. This festive locale offers a range of holiday-themed skilling activities for Fishing, Crafting, and Construction, a delightful Christmas Spirit shop, Santa’s cozy lodge, a charming Secret Santa igloo, and an impressive giant present.

Players have the opportunity to collect three letters to Santa each day by completing their Daily Challenges, engaging with Clementine outside the lodge, and participating in various seasonal activities throughout the Christmas Village. In the event of missed daily letters, players can acquire them in the Christmas Spirit store for 400 spirit each. Submitting these letters at the Wintumber Postbox (located next to Clementine) not only earns players Nice Points but also rewards them with winter-themed cosmetics on a weekly basis, along with a chance to receive a coveted black partyhat.

Treasure Hunter

Treasure Hunter Commencing on November 28, 2023, every prize claimed from Treasure Hunter using keys will now yield an additional 100 Christmas wrapping paper alongside the usual rewards. A Present Prize Meter has been introduced at the bottom of the Treasure Hunter interface, offering links to open the Advent Calendar and Christmas Village interfaces. This meter tracks progress, filling with every key used and rewarding players with 1,000 Christmas wrapping paper at milestones like 25 and 75 keys, a purple Christmas Present at 50 keys, and three purple Christmas Presents at 100 keys. Upon claiming the final prize at 100 keys, the meter resets, retaining its state between promotions during the event.

Decorations

Decorations Throughout the event, the areas surrounding Falador, Lumbridge, Varrock, and Fort Forinthry have been adorned with seasonal lighting and a festive skybox. Normal trees and oaks in these areas now boast snow and decorations, and even the Grand Exchange in Varrock has received a touch of holiday cheer. Notably, evergreens have not undergone a graphical update this year.

In addition to these scenic enhancements, various bosses and monsters, including the likes of General Graardor, Queen Black Dragon, and Telos, have been spotted sporting Santa hats and other festive decorations. Some goebies, including those transmogrified into players, the ancient carer, the goebie scout, goebie prisoners, and the goebie initiating the Beastmaster Durzag encounter, have also joined in the holiday spirit by donning Santa hats, even though these festive accessories don’t visibly appear on their chatheads.
